Prestige is an asymmetrical, semi-cooperative, city-building, card game in which players must collaborate to build a great ancient city to stand as a testament to their civilization's prestige for generations to come, or fail and be forgotten to time.
Players will share economic resources, city-building cards, and defeat. However, if they succeed, only the leader of the tribe most represented in the city will be crowned the All Tribes Chief and remembered throughout all of time.
Meet the Mastermind
Have you ever thought about how cities formed in the Ancient World? I think the concept is just fascinating. Who decided what buildings went where? Which were intentionally planned and which were just plopped down where they could fit? How much foresight did ancient city planners have when making these decisions? How did they juggle the competing values of different groups of people? That’s what Prestige seeks to answer.
Prestige just kind of popped into my head one day. It all started with thinking about how much the layouts of cities determine their success, and how those buildings needed to build off of one another, not just succeed individually. I started thinking about different structures and people groups found I. The ancient times, and what they would want near them. Specific examples started to come to mind and I began to write them down.
Soon the tribes were intermingling during playtests and it felt good; like a real ancient city coming to life, and people were enjoying it! From there the game continued to evolve into what we have today. Now I’m excited to be able to share this creation with the world, and I hope you enjoy seeing your own ancient cities come to life in the cards!
Cheers!

What people are saying
“I love the theme and flow. I can’t wait to play again”
“Prestige is a city builder game that manages to provide the right balance of simple, fast paced gameplay and decision space. It adds a lot thematically for my mind to be able to imagine little stories as we create a city from scratch with all the dramatic happenings you'd expect in such an enterprise. I love to explore the game, getting to know the different factions and how they play in their unique ways and provide their own unique stories. That you can play the game fully cooperative or add a competitive component seamlessly is a huge plus and makes me want to play again with a different setup. Highly recommended!”
“This game has a stand out theme and and wonderful (semi-) cooperative mechanism … I can’t wait to play it again soon.”
“The mechanic of sharing your supply of money with all other players makes this one of the most unique and fascinating semi-coop games I’ve experienced.”
“Prestige is a wonderful city building game with really interesting decisions and a simple enough ruleset to get started quickly! The short play time, depth of strategy, and variability in the cards will keep you coming back over and over.”
