Message from the Developer
It all started with the desire to play a great game that didn’t yet exist, as is the inception of many great titles.
We wanted a truly rogue-like, RPG tabletop experience in which each decision has consequences, and the story is ever-evolving. It was also critical to us that the effect of the player’s decision wasn’t always determined by the roll of a die which can oftentimes be frustrating.
That said, in physical form, it is incredibly challenging to ensure that an engaging story changes and reacts to the players’ characters within it unless one player constantly has to sit out to narrate for the others or the players are pitted against one another to make the game dynamic to each player’s choices. We knew that we had to create a phenomenal experience in which everyone could participate, and work fully cooperatively against the game that could act as a worthy opponent.
In doing so, we crafted a system that we consider to be the creme-de-la-creme of tabletop gaming. An experience that could be enjoyed solo or with others without an impact on the feel of the game.
This massive undertaking would have never come to life without the incredibly talented professionals behind it. We found an outstanding team that was willing to support this grand vision.
First, we brought on Jonathan Her. He is an expert fantasy author that invites his audience to follow along in thrilling adventures, and an excellent Dungeon Master for other tabletop games. Jon brought the game to life with superior word-smithing, allowing us to build incredible, unified stories one card at a time.
Next, we bought together an awesome team of illustrators. Curtis Smith was the artist behind nearly all of our detailed humanoid Monsters and courageous Heroes that make up the core of the characters to encounter. Logan Krul was the talent we can all thank for the grisly, intimidating non-humanoid Monsters and Bosses that comprise the most threatening opponents in the game. Kasey Ponce was the illustrator all of our players can appreciate for distinguishing the intriguing Loot objects found throughout the game, adding depth that words just couldn’t quite capture.
Their efforts brought the imagination and adventure of the story to the forefront of the experience.
Throughout the whole process, Breanna was the anchor behind the scenes that kept everything together. Not only did she craft an incredible website, and managed our social media pages to give our audience a landing point. Breanna was also responsible for taking all the exceptional, original content that was created and merging it into the final products to be appreciated by all.
Without this amazing team, none of this would have been possible.
